Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government Distributes Benefits & Rice Dumplings for Dragon Boat Festival to Wish Underprivileged Households a Happy Festival

Imported inflation pressure caused by the pandemic has driven up consumer prices in Taiwan over recent years. To mitigate the impact on underprivileged households, the Taipei City Government has distributed Dragon Boat Festival benefits to nearly 20,000 low-income households. Furthermore, to complement goods donated by charitable enterprises, social welfare services centers from 12 districts have handed out rice dumplings for the Dragon Boast Festival to nearly 1,600 underprivileged families.
