Ko Wen-Je: Charity meals upgraded to version 2.0 for post-pandemic care. The Taipei City "Hope Canteen" provides help to those in need

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of Taipei residents, and impacted the livelihoods of disadvantaged families. Aside from continuing to work with currently participating vendors, in 2021, the Taipei City Government also upgraded the charity meals program to version 2.0, the "Hope Canteen" project, to make customized meals for disadvantaged families. Additionally, to avoid creating social gatherings when handing out meals, Eternal Music Production Co., Ltd. donated the first "smart hot meal machine" in the Wanhua District to provide meals for the homeless. Since the residents in Taipei have begun to cook at home more often, the Taipei City Government has also expanded the use of goods banks, and provided supermarket and product vouchers to give timely help to disadvantaged families to strengthen the city's social safety net.
