Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government established the first independent housing in Taiwan. To show their appreciation, independent youths pack rice dumplings for the social workers on the Dragon Boat Festival

    Taipei independent housing is the National initiative independent housing for the leaving care youth. The first youth moved in the house on January 17th, and since then, 4 leaving care youths have moved in!
    On the Dragon Boat Festival¸ independent youths prepared rice dumplings for the social workers, who worked at Taipei City Government. Also, sending a card with lovely words to show their appreciation.
    Contracting out to the Good Shepherd Social Welfare Foundation, Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government established the first independent housing in Taiwan. In the form of a simulated rental house, the rent, which is about 60% of the market price will be charged to the youth individual account during the stay.
    Therefore, the leaving care youth practice being tenants, who should earn money to pay for the rent. After moving out, they will save their first bucket of gold. Not only with their savings but also with the independent ability to move toward the next stage of life!
