The first in the nation! Taipei City Government runs a trial program to provide free feminine products to female students at 5 junior high schools, and requested the city council for a feminine product subsidy budget for the following year

    To promote gender equality and keep pace with international norms on the issue of menstruation, since September 2021 the Taipei City Government has worked with Kotex to give out free feminine products at five junior high schools: Xinyi, Shilin, Chongqing, Muzha, and Guting. A total of 1522 people benefited from this program. Mayor Ko Wen-Je said that he hoped Taipei City would take the lead in raising awareness of menstruation issues, and with the support of the city council, Taipei City will aim to start providing feminine product subsidies for junior high school female students in 2022.
