Department of Social Welfare

To help low-income elderly persons living alone and economically disadvantaged households celebrate Lunar New Year, the Taipei City Government's Department of Social Welfare organized the "Special Delivery of Heart-warming New Year Dishes with Compassion" campaign. It partnered with 84 NGOs such as social welfare foundations, co-ops, and commercial associations to give out dishes to those in need. This year, 2,000 portions of dishes were delivered, allowing the elderly living alone and disadvantaged families to enjoy tasty New Year's Eve dishes at their family reunion dinner.
