On February 25, 2026, the Taipei City Government's Department of Social Welfare held a "Press Conference and Tea Party on New Policies," centered around the theme of "A Happy City with Warmth: Taipei City's New Policies to Relieve Worries." Led by Director Shu-Wen Yao, the heads of various divisions provided briefings on 17 new policies covering childcare, elderly welfare, and support for disadvantaged groups. Through proactive engagement and technological assistance, the department strives to improve policy transparency and reduce the costs of communications, thereby fostering a welcoming city where everyone can feel safe and thrive together.
