On International Women's Day (March 8), a day dedicated to women, the Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government teamed up with the Taipei Women's Center to roll out the "Work Out Hard & Have Fun" campaign. A fictional figure named "Lefuni" was created as a play on words for the Chinese phrase for "happy women". It also carries the connotation of "love for women". It was hoped that women could find suitable sports for them to learn more about themselves through this event, which also incorporated interesting and interactive online experiences.
