There's an old Chinese proverb, "a senior is like a treasure to a family"; every senior's life experience and wisdom are precious assets to society and families. In appreciation of their contributions to the community, Mayor Chiang Wan-an visited two centenarians in the city on the eve of the 2025 Double Ninth Festival to express his respect and care for the seniors. Mayor Chiang stated that he sees much wisdom and wealth in seniors, and Taipei City is making its best effort to run a city that is welcoming to them. The Department of Social Welfare continues to promote diverse policies to build an age-friendly city, where every senior can feel care and respect from society.
