Q1: What are the prerequisites for registration for waiting for a vacancy and admission to Taipei City Haoran Senior Citizens Home? 
A: The elderly who want to register for waiting for a vacancy and admission to Taipei City Haoran Senior Citizens Home shall meet the following prerequisites:
I. The residents over 65 years old with low-income, or those over 60 years old with the category 0 of low-income, along with the following essential conditions:
(I) No direct lineal descendants (including biological children, biological grandchildren, adopted children, adopted grandchildren, etc.).
(II) No self-owned residence or the self-owned residence is inspected and then regarded as uninhabitable after careful evaluation.
(III) Having the self-care capability of daily life.
Note: Those elderly with certifiable infectious diseases or mental diseases can’t be admitted to Haoran Senior Citizens Home, only those who are affirmed as lacking infectious possibility or as unable to harm the group, by the physicians in the public or private hospitals above the regional level.

Q2: What kind of documents should be provided when the elderly register for waiting for a vacancy and admission to Taipei City Haoran Senior Citizens Home?  
A: The elderly who register for waiting for a vacancy and admission to Taipei City Haoren Senior Citizens Home shall provide the following documents:
I. One copy of the application form
II. Original ID card

Q3: How does one apply for registration for waiting for a vacancy and admission to Taipei City Haoren Senior Citizens Home?
A: The elderly who conform to the abovementioned prerequisites shall provide the application form and relevant documents and apply via one of the following methods:
I. Come in person to Taipei City Haoren Senior Citizens Home (and bring along all the documents)
(I) One copy of the application form
(II) Original ID card
II. Entrust an agent to transact the registration
(I) One copy of the application form
(II) One copy of the entrustment letter
(III) Photocopies of both sides of the applicant’s ID card
(IV) Original entrustee’s ID card (will be returned after checking)

Q4: If the applicants are veterans and receive the veterans-related living subsidies, do they conform to the registration conditions?  
A: If the applicants are low-income residents in Taipei City, they can still register first. If the application is reviewed and approved, the applicant then has to waive the veterans’ living subsidies to conform to the admission conditions. After being admitted into Haoran Senior Citizens Home, the applicants still maintain their identity as veterans.

Q5: Can the elderly still receive the subsidies for low-income households after registration?  
A: The application for registration of waiting for a vacancy only gives priority to the registration, and the elderly can still receive the living subsidies for low-income households. After the application is reviewed and approved, the elderly who is admitted into Haoran Senior Citizens Home will be provided with food, clothes, living, transportation, nursing, entertainment and other kinds of needs, along with monthly pocket money. Therefore, all the social welfare-related subsidies granted by the communities will be terminated after the admission (including the subsidies for low-income households, or individuals with disabilities, etc.).

Q6: Can the elderly apply for the registration only when he/she is single? 
A: Besides the single elderly, couples can also apply for the registration simultaneously, but both of them should conform to the registration conditions (the admission conditions shown in Q1).

Q7: What are the reasons for the previously failed cases of application?  
A: The previous application cases may be rejected because they don’t meet either of the following registration conditions:
I. The applicants are not from low-income households. 
II. The applicants have direct lineal descendants.
III. The applicants don’t have the self-care capability of daily life.
IV. One of the couple still has working ability.

Q8: How long does it take to complete the registration after the application is submitted? 
A: If all the necessary documents are in place and no supplementary document is required, the registration can be completed within one hour and a registration certificate will be issued by Haoran Senior Citizens Home.

Q9: If I change my address or telephone number after registration, do I need to inform Haoran Senior Citizens Home?  
A: When the vacancy is available and it is time to contact the number of the registration certificate, we may not be able to reach the applicant if the address or phone number has been changed. Please call to inform the social work group in Haoran Senior Citizens Home of any changes of address or phone number to avoid the loss of applicants’ rights and interests.

Q10: What do the applicants do if they change their minds after the application for registration? 
The applicant can fill in the form “Written Consent of Giving up the Application for Admission to Taipei City Haoran Senior Citizens Home” and mail it registered to Taipei City Haoran Senior Citizens Home to revoke the application for registration. If the applicants want to register again, they have to reapply again with all the required documents to obtain a new registration certificate. The revoked registration certificate is invalid.
