Taipei City Council Childcare Center Opens Officially! Department of Social Welfare Collaborates with Public and Private Institutions to Introduce "Workplace Babysitters"

The Taipei City Council Workplace Babysitters was officially opened on June 28, 2024. A part of the Taipei City Council's first floor was redecorated and redesigned, and babysitters. was recruited in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare to act as "workplace babysitters." The center can accommodate four children, aged 0 to 6, of city council members and council employees. As both parents in most families today need to act as income earners, the demand for childcare has risen greatly. The public sector is taking the lead in demonstrating enterprises how to promote and deploy "workplace babysitters." As can be seen, a space of only about 30 square meters, with no restrictions regarding the level of the building, can be used to outsource or hire babysiters to take care of employees' children. With a capacity of four children, the center creates a friendlier workplace.
