Mayor Chiang Wan-an led the heads of 14 agencies and partners from various sectors to attend the "Taipei's New Boundaries—Respect and Reject" press conference. Together, they pledged their determination to protect safe spaces and create new boundaries in Taipei. The mayor called on Taipei residents to embrace the new policy of "respect and reject" and take action to prevent sexual harassment. Under the new law, victims of sexual harassment in public spaces must be provided with assistance in reporting the crime and notifying the police to arrive at the scene to deal with the incident. In addition, evidence must be preserved.
