24 The joint opening ceremony for Songshan Senior Services & Day Care Center and Jiankang Baby Daycare Center was held on 24th of May at Songshan Jiankang Public Housing by Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government. This is the first union construction that includes public housing and social welfare facilities with the aim to strengthen the functions of the community, and therefore developing a new form of residence in Taipei City.

01 In order to take care elderly with long-term care needs in community, the Taipei City Government develops the “Integrated care services project“ in 12 administrative districts which sets up service stations which have care managers provide integrated home-base services such as home-base care services, aids services, household barrier-free environment Improvement services, home-base rehabilitation services, home-base medical services and hospice care. Long-term care resources therefore become more accessible in community.
02 Taipei City Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Center of New Taipei City Government and DSP consulting firm have cooperated to propose the project under DS4G (Data for Social Good) Plan, “Never Turn Back – Prevention Mechanism with Early Warning Signs of Relapse for Child and Adolescent Abuse”. The project successfully demonstrated public-private partnership and was recognized by “President's Cup Social Innovation Hackathon” as “Excellent Team” on June 2nd, 2018.

09 Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government handled a three-year project called “Reverse Future” since July 2015 to June 2018. This project helped 87 low-income youths to save their money, participate many kind of courses, and learn about working knowledge. In order to encourage these project participant, Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government conducted a project closing ceremony in Sep 9, 2018. More importantly, Mayor Ko Wen-je and Miss Liu Bojun joined the ceremony to share their story and stimulate youth to chase their dreams.

03 Taipei City Government and PX Mart signed MOU in‘supplying disaster emergency relief goods when disaster strikes’.
The Department of Social Welfare, Department of Civil Affairs and 12 District Offices cooperated with PX Mart for the first time that in the future, when disaster occurs, each local branch of PX Mart in its administrative district will supply emergency relief goods.
The ceremony was witnessed by deputy mayor of Taipei City and signed by the deputy director of the Department of Social Welfare, the deputy director of the Department of Civil Affairs, the supervisors of the 12 District Offices and the representative, chief operating officer of PX Mart. About 50 people were in attendance. It is hoped that the government agency and the private sector can jointly protect Taipei City.
