Protect Children's Digital Safety! Taipei City Government Launches "Children's Guardian Star – Actions to Mend the Safety Net," a Public-Private Cross-Domain Effort to Stop Image-Based Digital Sex Abuse of Children and Adolescents
Children's Guardian Star – Actions to Mend the Safety Net: In response to the growing number of cases of digital sexual violence, the Taipei City Government's Department of Social Welfare and the City's Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault jointly launched the "Children's Guardian Star – Actions to Mend the Safety Net" project in November 2025. For this project, the government units brought NGOs, legal professionals, police officers, educators, cram school operators, and parents of children and adolescents together to take concrete actions to address the city government's focus on digital sexual violence. The project has scheduled a total of 20 workshops for parents of children and adolescents and cram school operators from February to June, 2026. The workshops will train an estimated 1,200 parents and cram school professionals to enhance their abilities to recognize and respond to potential threats. Additionally, the project will produce age-appropriate educational materials for children aged 3–8 and 9–12. These materials will be uploaded upon completion to the official websites of the Taipei City Government's Department of Social Welfare and the City's Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, where they will be accessible to the public and professionals in all fields."Children's Guardian Star" press conference
